NATIONS CHAMPIONSHIP AT TWICKENHAM – NOVEMBER

You may be aware that World Rugby is introducing a ‘World Championship’ competition to sit between World Cups.  This year Twics hosts one side of the draw with three pool games.

It also hosts the Finals weekend, running from Friday evening to Sunday with essentially a mini ‘World Cup Final’ concluding proceedings on Sunday afternoon 29th November.

The Pool games are Australia, Japan and New Zealand.  The club has gone for an allocation of tickets for NZ and Oz but not Japan.  Limited in number they are available on a first come first served basis – decent seats together with a good head-on view from behind the posts.

(We could go for Japan tickets, but restrictions mean that once sold we cannot take them back).

We have reserved a limited number of tickets for the Saturday and Sunday Finals, which are run on ‘league’ positions. What you would see are two games per day with the winners of pool 1 playing pool 2 in the final game. Obviously neither day might feature England – depends how they go.

Remember, the World Cup does not return to Europe until 2035 at the earliest.

Along with Japan any Finals tickets need a firm commitment – we cannot take them back.
