Heath RUFC works to ensure that rugby union is a sport which is enjoyable for all young people, by providing an environment where young players are protected and kept safe from harm. It provides the highest possible standard of care for all its young players/members.
Effective safeguarding arrangements are underpinned by two key principles:
• safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility;
• the welfare of the young people is paramount.
The Club will ensure that all adults who work with young people are made aware of their roles and responsibilities, that the necessary checks through the Disclosure and Barring Services are carried out, and that all training opportunities are made available to them (full details can be found in the Safeguarding Policy.
If you have any concerns relating to the welfare of a young member of the club you should contact one of the following:
Club Safeguarding Officer: Fergus Marsden (ferg.marsden@hotmail.co.uk)
