Heath took a squad of 17 to Huddersfield Laundhill for their first visit to their local rivals. Kickoff was delayed for 15 mins in the hope the thick fog would clear, the ref was happy to start.
The match started with both teams having possession with defence dominating in the first 10 mins.
Laundhill struck first with a well worked try.

Two minutes later a late hit on Sonny Gordon led to the Heath 10 leaving the field. Ethan Murphy moved to 10 and talented Will Carter moving from wing to fullback and Ethan Gill coming off the bench.
Laundhill started to dominate possession and found the try line again.

Although Heath's defence was too passive, when Laundhill broke through there were great cover tackles from the likes of Oscar Szadbey.

The second half started as the first half finished. Hudd LH was getting over the gain line and pressing Heath back into their half. This led to a third try for the home team.

Heath needed to get onto the scoreboard quickly. However Laundhill were in no mood to give Heath a look in and crossed. The line for a fourth try.

Heath started to find more possession and territory. On 43 mins After patient build up by the forwards Louie Moss stepped inside to dive over the line.

The Heathens we’re building in confidence and showed great resilience In the second half. More pressure from Heath came through the fog on the top side of the pitch. Murphy took a couple of quick tap penalties and good team work by the forwards then led to Alfie Cartwright busting over the line followed by a fantastic conversion by Murphy.

With a minute left Laundhill finished with a breakaway try.
