Heath 0 - 35 Dinnington
Heath u14s welcomed Dinnington for a second time this season in the Yorkshire Cup. Both teams were hoping to secure a big win to stand a chance of qualifying for the final of the Yorkshire Plate Final in April.
From the kick off Dinnington were quick to make their mark by taking their well structured game plan into the Heath half. They maintained possession really well which meant Heath were constantly defending - and to Heath’s credit the lads defended valiantly. It took Dinnington 10 minutes to finally break the brave Heathens defensive line.
Sadly for Heath three early injuries meant that all subs were needed early on leaving no further replacements for the remainder of the game. Dinnington continued to batter the Heath line and ran in two further tries before half-time. Considering the lack of possession Heath had done a great job in keeping the scoreline margin to just three unconverted tries.
HT Heath 0 - 15 Dinnington
The second half started in the same vain as the first, although Heath were competing better at the ruck. It’s wasn’t too long before Dinnington scored their forth try. With the amount of defending the lads were doing it came as no surprise that energy levels started to drop. This led to further tries by Dinnington.
FT Heath 0 - 35 Dinnington
Woods & I are really proud of the lads today. The lads defended their hearts out particularly the first 10 mins to keep Dinnington out. We wish Dinnington all the best for a potential Yorkshire Plate Final in April.
