Heath travelled to Selby with a changed side after the withdrawal of Jack Sheldrake and Jordan Moana so in came Michael Reynolds on the wing and on the bench Si Brown and Alex McFadden.
It was a bright start for the visitors to Sandyhill as the home side struggled to adjust but an early penalty miss from Ezra Hinchliffe after 3 minutes seemed to inspire Selby and they hit back with a try on 8 minutes when centre Alex Webster went over in the corner. Suprisingly the attempted conversion was charged down by Luke Saltonstall and the score was 5-0. Heath quickly responded and from a scrum on the half way line Richards Brown fed Dom Walsh and his pass to Hinchliffe saw a planned move take place with a slipped pass to Eddie Cartwright who got the ball out to Saltonstall and he ghosted in under the posts for a converted try to lead 7-5 on 15 minutes.
The lead was short lived as a mistake from Heath at the re-start gave Selby possession and they mounted an attack. Good defence from Reynolds and Cameron Ramsden only halted the inevitable as Selby threw the ball about and scored a converted try on 18 minutes and quickly opened up a sloppy Heath defence on 24 minutes for a third try to lead 19-7 as Heath struggled to contain the onslaught.
Alex McFadden came on for Olly Cook but Selby were in no mood to stop the attacks and scored a bonus point fourth try after 35 minutes to lead 26-7. A penalty from Ezra Hinchliffe reduced the arrears to 26-10 after 37 minutes but Selby were looking for a fifth try and on the stroke of half time came up with the goods to lead 33-10.
It was a case of damage limitations for Heath as the second half began and the visitors put in a good opening stint with Richard Brown popping up for a try on 50 minutes, 33-15, but this only inspired Selby and they quickly got back in scoring mood with a fifth try on the hour mark,38-15.
Ryan Hunter came off and Olly Cook returned but the game was over for Heath as Selby maintained control. A rare Heath attack saw Brown score his second try after 65 minutes to reduce the arrears to 38-22 but a penalty from Selby on 70 minutes saw a score of 41-22 and game over for Heath.
The last 10minutes saw Selby dominate but Heath clung on and came up with the final score following good work from Walsh, Ramsden, Bradbrook to release Eddie Cartwright for a try, 41-27.
This was a very disappointing performance from Heath who came up against a rampant Selby side who dominated most parts of the game and came away with all five points in their quest to avoid relegation.
