A great victory over our local rivals, who for the last couple of years have had the edge.

Heath’s forward domination took them home after a evenly contested first half, 19 all after 40 minutes.

The visitors scored six tries - all by forwards: Brook Ward, Oliver Cook, Will McLaughlin, Richard Dance, Joe Shipman, and Matthew Wilkinson crashing over. With Olly Scrimshaw (2) and the returning Dom Ellam kicking the conversions. There was also a welcome return of Ben Hinsley in the centre.

We return to league action next Saturday with another local derby against Cleckheaton.
