Heath welcomed Selby at home for the return fixture between the two sides. The away game in November ended 22-19 in Heaths favour after a heroic comeback from 19-0 down.

Selby repeated their efficient start and after two lapses in concentration from Heath, Selby went 2 scores up after 10 minutes. Previously the lads would have found fault in one another at this point, however they reacted in the perfect manner. Match day captain Junior lead from the front, backed up by strong carries from Vince, Alex and Jacob M. Selby struggled to defend against the footwork of Adam, Max and Oliver. Excellent ball retention from Alfie and brilliant support from Lewis allowed Will to direct traffic onto the wing for Junior to power over for the 1st try of the game. They appeared revitalised. However, Selby scored again off an uncontrolled kick off, motivating the Heath lads to adjust their structure from kick off, putting Max and Adam in the catching zones. The game flowed well at this point, Vince, Alfie and Isaac dominated the scrum, Jacob and Alex the line out. Junior and Will connected, both kicking excellently out of hand and Adam floated around the pitch almost unstoppable at times. Midway through the 1st half, JJ, Jacob W and Charlie entered the fray adding much needed energy to the effort. They all defended heroically felling multiple Selby attackers, JJ and Jacob prominent in attack, carrying like men possessed. After some excellent territorial kicks from Will and Junior, Heath took full advantage of the disorganised Selby defence. Oliver Bailey popped up and using his power crashed over for heaths 2nd try. Junior converted to close the margin.

The half time whistle arrived and although Heath trailed, they appeared motivated and cohesive. From the kick off Max showed his determination catching the ball and making serious yards upfield. Charlie, Jacob W and Lewis all smashing rucks, delivering excellent ball to Junior who fed Will. Adam, Oliver and Alex connected out wide leading to a fantastic try from JJ to put Heath in the lead. At this point Heath looked the better team however Selby demonstrated their experience and retained the ball well. Heath gave away multiple penalties and Selby punished them. Two tries on the bounce pushed Selby ahead once again. An outstanding kick off from Junior pushed Selby back up field once again, forcing a knock on near the Selby line. A powerful scrum from JJ, Alfie, Vince, Jacob W and Lewis forced Selby back and allowed Will to use his footwork and dart over the line. From the kick off Heath knocked the ball on and gave Selby one last chance to score. Which they took, Selbys number 15 dancing between tacklers to crash over.

At this point the game appeared lost, but not in the mind of the Heath boys. Junior again kicked accurately to the corner forcing Selby to run the ball from their line, excellent defensive from Oliver, Max and Charlie forced them into touch. From the lineout Will connected with Alex who stormed up the field, junior sniped down the blindside and put Selby on the back foot. Strong carries from Isaac, Vince and Jacob M allowed JJ to collect the ball and crash over for his 2nd try. Heath were now over two scores behind with 15 minutes to go. Heath were awarded a penalty soon after, junior made a wise decision to take the 3 points from the penalty to bring the deficit down to 9 points.  With 5 minutes left the Heath boys rattled the air and stormed up the pitch over and over again. Isaac, Vince and Adam all made huge yards. Jacob W, Alfie and Max powered up the field driven by pure rage. Junior darted over for his third try after a quick tap penalty. Putting Heath within range, 43-39 with 1 minute left on the clock.

Oliver took the kick off well, supported by Jacob M and Lewis to secure the ruck. Isaac went on a powerful run, supported by Alfie and JJ. Junior fed the ball to Will who connected with Adam and Max. Selby were once again penalised. A huge carry from Vince and JJ allowed Heath to reach the Selby line. Junior took full advantage of the exhausted Selby Defence, darting over and leaping into the air to slam the ball down for Heaths final try of the game.

The final whistle was blown after the conversion attempt. The game finishing 44-43 to Heath. The best team performance of the season, the lads demonstrated their willingness to fight for each other and the jersey. UTH!

Final score 44-43. Heath try scorers. Junior x 3. Olly Bailey, Will, JJ x2. Conversions Junior x 3. Penalty goal Junior x 1.
