From today, members will start to see increased activity outside the club as we share our land with Esh Construction. Initial surveys and enabling works are starting for transport infrastructure improvements to support the planned new Rail Station in Elland.
Calderdale Council is delivering upgrades to existing connections, including building new cycle and pedestrian bridges and other routes improvements to the new station site and between Elland and West Vale. The works will improve access to both the future station and improve off-road connections around the area.
In West Vale, a new pedestrian and cycle route and bridge over the River Calder will be built adjacent to our ground. Esh Construction will set up a compound in our grounds with associated cabins and plant equipment. We’re working closely with the company to ensure health and safety requirements are fully met and all areas and associated segregation will be clearly marked.
If any of you require further information about the works, please contact Esh Construction Public Liaison Officer Andrew Vaux, Tel: 07812 677 859; Email: ellandaccess@esh.uk.com or visit https://www.calderdalenextchapter.co.uk/projects/elland-access-package.
