Heath travelled to Baildon with a squad light on numbers, as several lads were finishing their rugby league commitments.
Zak and Chris saw this as a great opportunity for some of our newer players to step up and show what they could do — and what a performance from all 13 lads!
From the first whistle, Heath produced some fantastic rucks, strong carries and brilliant attacking play to go into half-time leading 47–0.
Credit to Otley/Baildon, who showed great determination and chose to carry on despite the scoreline. They proved dangerous when in possession and were rewarded with two tries of their own.
While the final scoreline doesn’t tell the whole story, the progress and improvement within this Heath side compared to last season is clear for everyone to see!
Standout performances from Max Holdsworth, Tobias Copley, Nicholas Trickett and Harry Barton.
Man of the Match: Wilson Bromley for an outstanding performance!
Next week brings another tough test away against Leodensians — a fixture everyone knows will be a battle. One not to be missed!
Well done, lads!
