Heath currently runs three open age sides on a regular basis, with a fourth team playing from time to time. There are two good pitches at the West Vale ground.

From Fourths to Firsts we operate as an “amateur” Club, so no one receives payment for playing.

Training is at the Club on Tuesday and Thursday nights, 7.30 and ready to go. If conditions deteriorate during the winter months, then we tend to hire all weather or in door facilities at Rastrick School.

After a couple of exciting seasons, we've moved up to Yorkshire 1 – which is the highest level we've ever played at.  Having had promotion in two consecutive seasons, we're now looking to consolidate in this Division. First Team Captain Andy Pearce (Brownie) and new Coach Kevin Plant are both working hard to see that this comes about and are supported in their efforts by Director of Rugby, John Denwood – not to mention the many players and followers of Heath.

As far as match days go, players are provided with shirts for the game by the Club, but have to bring along their own socks and shorts etc. These can be bought at the Club at any time that we’re open. See the “shop” on this site for prices.

Match fees and annual subs are: Full member, Subs £45. Weekly Levy (Match Fees) £3 (Substitute £1). For reference, Social member is £20 and Family Annual subs £30.

Players have full physiotherapy assessment / support at training and the Firsts have coverage before during and after the game. If further treatment is required, then we’re linked to Heat Mount Physio in Halifax.

Remember, that even though we’ve a strong and well-organised playing set up, we are also a welcoming Club with a good social life – just look at the events and news section on this site for confirmation.

Finally, facilities are to be substantially expanded and improved in the coming season, to the benefit of both players and supporters alike. After this and with the excellent pitches at the Club, we aim to be confirmed as the Premiere Amateur Club in the Halifax and Calderdale area.
