Heath Age Grade Rugby

Welcome to the Heath RUFC Age Grade Rugby.  On here you’ll find some useful information about our teams, the coaches and how to get involved.

Age Grade Rugby ensures that every player is able to enjoy rugby in a safe environment where they can develop their personal and social skills as well as a wide array of transferable multi-sports skills. This results in their holistic development as well as their life long involvement in rugby and other sports.

Age Grade Rugby is the game for all players aged 6 – 18 in clubs and within the representative pathway and it incorporates the rules of play, regulation, competition formats and the structure of the season.

It is based on the principles of player centred, development driven and competition supported with the wants and needs of young people at its heart.

At Heath RUFC we are proud to run the following age grades:

-    Under 8s (tag)
-    Under 9s
-    Under 10s
-    Under 11s

-    Under 12s
-    Under 13s

As players progress through the age grades more laws of the game are introduced to support player development.  More details of this can be found on here.  (You are about to navigate away from the Heath RUFC website. At £30 for a single Junior Member per season, OR, £50 for Family Membership (inc 2 Juniors) the subs are very reasonable and this includes Club shorts and socks for players!  All off field gear is available from Gilbert via the club shop.

Finally if anyone is keen to get involved with coaching don’t hesitate to get in touch, also, with Alistair Gordon details here.

Let’s build up the age grade section for years to come!
