| The Jnr Dinner and Awards evening was held this Saturday evening. Pleasingly, it went very well and was well attended by players and parents alike.
A 3 course meal plus coffee was served and then it was onto the awards and speeches. Club Chairman, Paul Sutcliffe, spoke as did Jnr coach Giles Hetherington. Guest speakers were Dave Littlefair from the Club and Dave Harrison (former Cap't and now Cleckheaton coach). In a well received speeh, Harry talked drawing on his experience in Senior and Yorkshire Jnr rugby and then he presented the awards. These went to James Wilkinson - Most improved player. Peter Birkett - Players player of the year. Jack Sheldrake - Coaches' player of the year. Also, Sam Pollard and Peter Birkett presented their Yorkshire shirts to the Club - gratefully received. All in all a really good night, thanks to all who attended. |
