Message from your Chairman, Paul.

Greetings to all Heath members, friends and supporters!

Matters Covid.  We will hopefully see you all soon and we are putting measures in place so we that can open the w/c Monday the 17th May!

There will be lots going on when we do open.  Firstly with a Sunday Lunch and with Mr Mousakka ready to go. There's going to be lots of live rugby on the telly, as well, so we can all have a great get-together, after the terrible year + that we have all had.

We will post all details on our Facebook and Twitter platforms as well as here on this website.  I suppose it goes without saying that we need all the reg's and info' to  come out from the Council before matters can be fully finalised.

As far as the 'fabric of the Club' goes, we have been busy with ongoing projects to keep Heath moving forward. That's as well as ensuring we maintain momentum on the field.   The lads have been back training for about a month now, with 35 to 40 players putting the 'hard yards' in, so as to hit the ground running in September. When we can finally tackle North 1 East !  Personally, I can't wait.

We have continued doing work round the grounds - with new plastic spectator fencing beIng erected on the 2nd team pitch as I write. There's a new addition, in the far corner of the ground: a new childrens play area, with some equipment that should keep them happy for at least 80 minutes on a Saturday afternoon!

Both sets of changing rooms have been decorated and freshened up.  They are looking really good and new showers have been added as well.

The new flood doors are all now fitted, so we are, hopefully, flood proof on the ground floor of the building and nowhere near as much much damaged can be caused, should the river and beck break their banks again - and they will.

Some fantastic new equipment has been bought for the kitchen. This should make things run smoother as we look to doing more catering events and large functions down at Heath.

So, as I'm sure you can see, all the grants and government support we've received have been used to improve and make the Heath Rugby Club the best place to enjoy your sport and the best place to mix socially, with the best members!

Thank you, to all of you - for the support, hard work and messages over the last year that have kept me going and, more importantly, have kept the place we all love going forward!

one very happy and proud Chairman and Club  manager !
