Heath are pleased to announce the signing of utility forward Max Patten from Leeds based side Corinthians.
Originally from Bromsgrove in the West Midlands, Max moved northward to attend Leeds university, where he played alongside Heath first team regular Alex ‘Paddy’ Patrick.
Having settled in West Yorkshire, Max is now wanting to push his rugby forwards, and challenge himself. Speaking about signing for Heath, Max said: “I’m looking forward to getting stuck into rugby at a higher level and hopefully adding something to the pack.”
Speaking of this most recent signing, coach Harry remarked:
“We seem to attract big athletic players; from talking with Max he is keen to get going and improve his rugby and add to the strength in depth we already have. The pressure is on the lads already established to keep their shirts; the new lads coming in will be given an opportunity which, if they are successful, will mean some regular first team men will be running out with the seconds on occasions. Building a squad of this strength is great - it’s a long season ahead, and I’m expecting both 1st and 2nds to excel again, particularly with the new signings we’ve made”
Welcome to Heath Max!
