Just wanted to say a big thank you to everyone who travelled across to Bridlington for R1 of the U14s Yorkshire Cup.
Our goal in 24/25 is to put ourselves in a position to challenge for silverware. Step 1 achieved with a big win (0-56…some dubious try counts by the ref 🫤) against a development team with plenty to learn - but you have to play what’s in front of you. You did that, so well done lads! Onto R2 which we will find out more in the next week or so.
Thanks to Guy Austin for stepping in at short notice to help out on the sidelines and for the words of encouragement to the lads on the pitch.
For those who made a weekend of it I think you’ll all agree that it was great to spend time together, the lads had a great time as did parents and supporters. In my opinion the best bunch of parents any club could wish for and it bodes well for future away trips and tours - irons are already in the fire for the Lakes! If you want to get involved organising let’s start planning/agreeing dates asap.
Finally we all wish Lennon Wood a speedy recovery after becoming very poorly overnight.
